Why London?
London, the city of perpetual reinvention
London, the capital of the United Kingdom, is a dynamic metropolis blending rich history with modern flair. Iconic landmarks like Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London reflect its historical significance, while the diverse neighborhoods showcase a multicultural tapestry. World-class museums, vibrant parks, and a thriving culinary scene contribute to its cultural richness.
The River Thames runs through the city, providing a scenic backdrop. Modern skyscrapers, a bustling literary scene, and efficient public transportation underline London's contemporary and innovative spirit. The city's dynamic atmosphere, from lively markets to vibrant nightlife, makes it a global hub that seamlessly intertwines tradition and modernity.
CAFÉS
My favorite cafés in London
The Black Cab Coffee Co
Formerly a pop-up espresso bar in a converted taxi, this now-permanent café by the Thames has a coffee roaster in its dining area constantly pumping out beans. The menu offers much more than java, though - try the rose petal beetroot latte if you fancy something both healthy and unapologetically pretty. There's a proper brunch menu, too.
Address:
1 RiverLight Quay SW11 8AU
What I like about it
This is one of the best brunch spots in London but if you go at any time of day there will be something delicious on the menu.
Ralpha London Clubhouse
A laidback Soho haven with some of the nicest staff around, Rapha proves there's more to the cycling/coffee pairing than Lance Armstrong-style performance enhancement. The café occupies half the space in a smart cycle clothing shop, with ample seating and a menu that's a cut above - don't miss its elaborate 'super smoothies'.
Address:
85 Brewer Street W1F 9ZN
What I like about it
Great place to swing by for a coffee and the most exquisite patisserie after multiple laps of Regents Park! Also my favourite go to for the best cycling apparel on the market!
Boys 'n' Berry
A café focused on wholesome food and coffee in Parsons Green. Fulham's nattering classes have a new HQ - groups of threes and fours in baseball caps, yoga tights, lip gloss and sunglasses squeeze around small tables, air kiss, wave and generally catch up on the latest goss at this bang-on-trend café.
Address:
839 Fulham Road SW6 5HQ
What I like about it
The ambience of this place is really good, especially on a sunny day when you can see the sky through glass ceiling outdoors. It's perfect for take away, brunch in and lovely dinner with the family.
